Jean-Marie Périer.
Jean-Marie Périer was born in Neuilly in 1940.
In 1956, he became assistant to Daniel Filipacchi, then photographer at Marie-Claire.
He began working for Jazz magazine, Paris-Match and Télé 7 Jours.
From 1962 to 1974, he was the photographer for Salut les Copains. He rubbed shoulders with and photographed all the artists of the 60s.
He also worked on advertising productions, notably for Levi’s and L’Oréal.
From 1975 onwards, he devoted himself entirely to advertising films, in Los Angeles and New York.
He shot over 600 of them, for Canada Dry, Coca Cola, Ford, Nestlé, Bic, Camel, Ford…
He returned to France in 1990 and took up photography again, notably for ELLE.
All the great designers pass before his lens: Saint-Laurent, Armani, Tom Ford, Christian Lacroix, Gaultier, Alaïa…
At the same time, he produces documentaries and series for television.
In 2008, he produced a series of 50 short programs for Paris Première, starring Jacques Dutronc, and a series of 50 short programs for France 5 on the sixties.
